Thanks so much, Katherine B.
To whom it may concern,
My son has attended neurofeedback for the last five months. He is an
ADHD child and also has a learning disability. He had been on Ritalin but
developed side effects after a period of time. The biofeedback has greatly
improved his concentration. He is able to keep up with his assignments at
school and the battles of doing homework has declined. His teacher has
seen a child who was overwhelmed at the beginning of school, to a child
who now participates in class discussions and can sit for longer periods
of times. His grades have significantly improved and his self confidence
is steadily increasing.
I am happy with the results of the neurofeedback training and best of
all, my son is able to function "normally" at school, without the use of
medication.
Thanks to all.

To whom it may concern;
Our child has been going to CEPD for approximately five months for
neurobiofeedback. At first, I didn't think it was helping because his
progress was very slow. He would have a good week, but then, the next week
wouldn't be so good. But, then his progress in school improved
tremendously. His grades were steadily improving and his teacher had no
problems with him. At home, he was much more calmer. Before
neurobiofeedback, he would be completely off the wall in the morning and
it was almost impossible to get him ready for school without losing your
temper. But now, mornings are much better. At night, it is still a little
hard for him to do homework, but it is improving each week. And it is
nothing like it was five months ago. Everyone that knows our son and
spends time with him can see a big change for the best.

To whom it may concern,
I am happy to write this note for my son who has been seen for
Neurofeedback at the CEPD. Prior to beginning treatment, my son had
outbursts of anger and problems with behavior at home. He would frequently
lose emotional control and became appositional and defiant. He has been
seen for approximately 30 sessions of Neurofeedback. He has become much
calmer and more in control of his behavior. His temper tantrums have
subsided. He understands the meaning of "no" and is less manipulative.
When I tell him to do something, he is more willing to do it without
fighting me. His relationship with other children has improved and there
has been progress with his attention and concentration in school and at
home.
The staff at the CEPD, Barry Belt and David Toll, are most responsive
to my son's needs. We have had family counseling sessions when the need
arises. Barry and David are planning to meet with my son's teacher at
school to improve communication and planning between home and school. I am
delighted with son's progress and would recommend Neurofeedback without
hesitation.
Sincerely,
M. M.
To whom it may concern;
My son and I have been coming to CEPD and I find that it has helped me
with my migraines and with my self-confidence. I can abort some headaches
before they become severe and I don't need as much medication to do so. I
went from using three shots of DHE a month to using one. I feel more
grounded.
My son has had migraines since before he was 2 years old and has been
to many neurologists, with little or no results. Doctors have not been
able to get his headaches under control with medication. He misses a lot
of school. When Robert is in school, he would fidget a lot and make many
noises. He had no friends, except his brother. After seeing David Toll,
his headaches have calmed down, he all but stopped fidgeting in school and
his noises stopped, except for in gym. Robert also made a couple of
friends. Instead of missing 2 days of school a week, he actually made some
full weeks.
My husband and
father-in-law, who are extremely skeptical, have told me that seeing David
Toll has made a difference in Robert.
Sincerely,
Claire W.
Biofeedback and Me
ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) is not an easy life to have. Sure, ADD
patients do tend to be dreamy and creative, but for the most part, it can
be very frustrating. Things like making mistakes at work, getting
directions confused and saying "what?" after every time someone says
something can drive one nutty.
To confront my dilemma, I had seen numerous doctors about my problem.
At first, they did not know I had ADD, but I was diagnosed with a learning
disability. It wasn't until after I took a special test that they (the
doctors) found out my learning disability was ADD related.
I was prescribed a drug called Nupermin for awhile, but that gave me
some very nasty flashbacks. Then I was prescribed Prozac for at least a
year, which really did nothing and made my mouth dry. And, of course,
there was Ritalin. Ritalin helped me out at first, but I was developing a
slight "tick" and it wasn't working after a time. My doctor suggested a
higher dose, but I declined. Soon after, I stopped the Ritalin, and went
back to being myself again.
Several years later, I heard about biofeedback treatment. I thought I
had nothing to lose, so I tried a free session. After the first session, I
was completely amazed! I could actually focus and not drift off into la-la
land (which is something I have a bad habit of doing). The effects of
biofeedback for someone with my symptoms is like putting on glasses on a
blurry eyed visioned person and having them see in crisp vision for the
first time in their lives.
The biofeedback treatment has recently helped me with my job and my
private life as well.
Sincerely,
Todd S.
Dear Barry and David:
I would like to thank you both for helping me with my recurrent and all
too frequent attacks of migraine headaches. When I started treatments at
CEPD I had an average of three to four migraines per week. Because you
both worked so diligently to help rectify this condition, I can now
happily tell you that I deem my treatments a great success in making
migraines a rare occurrence in my life.
I would like also to
tell you how much I appreciate your kindness and your dedicated efforts in
helping me determine the source of my headaches. Once you had determined
the basis of the migraines, the combination of the EEG Neurofeedback along
with the relaxation techniques you provided for me proved to be the
winning combination. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Donna
